This is the Tazewell County Fair Association website, home of the Tazewell County Fair which is held annually each August at the fairgrounds just west of Tazewell Virginia on Route 460. The association is involved in several activities throughout the year such as pageants, spelling bees and the numerous activities leading up to and following the fair itself. The fair focuses on the rich heritage and tradition of southwest Virginia while embracing the future. Highlights of the Tazewell County Fair include the demolition derby, golf tournament, beauty pageant, livestock shows and competitions, horse shows, petting zoo, Drew Exposition carnival and much much more. Tug of War Service Organization Contest sponsored by Karen Patton Insurance Agent. The event will be held at 8 PM on Saturday August 20th in the arena. The guidelines for registration are:
1. Open to all service organizations of Tazewell County (Police, Fire, EMS)
2. 4 Person teams will compete
3. Up to 2 teams per organization
4. Participants must be registered by 6:00 p .m . day of event

- Extreme Bull Riding, Provided by SEBRA and produced by BNS reserved box seats available for $15.00 each which includes your gate admission.
- Demolition Derby and Figure 8 Derby. Reserved seats are on sale for $25.00 that includes your gate admission. Consider this extra $13.00 investment that will offer: a guarantee seat that you have selected. Security guards and policemen are on site to enforce your seating request. You can leave your seat and visit other fair events or get some food and return to your seat without any problems. And most of all if you are late coming, your seat will be waiting for you. Three-fourth of the remaining seats are open to the general public when they pay their $8.00 admission fee.

Nuckoll's Hall
- Fighting Time Mixed Marital Arts in a CAGE on Friday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $20.00. Open to local fighters to showcase their skills. For more information contact Casey Oendine at 423-773-3030.
